Purchased a $900 mattress June of last year, a clearance model. I go to make a warranty claim and they said there is no warranty on clearance items, not even a Serta manufacturer warranty. Despite spending over $4,400 at their Ft. Myers store. The product is functionally defective. I would avoid this company and the Serta product line.
About 5 years ago I purchased a two piece sofa set with built-in recliners at both ends of each piece. Shortly after the 1 year warranty, the recliner control cables began to break off. I complained about the poor quality but at least was able to purchase replacements from them and install them myself. Now, when I called for more replacement cables, they told me they no longer handle ANY replacement parts. Also, one of the cheaply made recliner frames actually broke. Once again they offered NO repair service. The repair service they referred me to was unable to repair the recliner frame after two long visits so didn't charge me. So now I have two sofas with four recliners but only two can be used. I will never purchase from American Signature Furniture again.
The staff take great care of you, especially the store manager. I had two office chairs that began squeaking and falling apart after just a couple months of light use, and they were generally not comfortable. Even though my grace period had passed, the store manager graciously allowed me to exchange the chairs for a different pair of chairs, which ended up being much more comfortable and durable. This kind of "extra mile" service will keep me coming back for future furniture needs.
The cushions on the sectional we purchased began to get a fuzz on the bottom cushions within a short time of our purchase. I took a picture and asked the people at the location if it was covered under the warranty and if it appeared normal for the couch. Assured it was not normal and should not look like that (we sit on the couch for about 30 min to an hour a day then we are out of the house), they scheduled the tech to come out. He said 3 or 4 times how it was from the dog, obviously unable to hear me say my dog is blind and doesn't get on the couch, he kept repeating how it was from the dog.
I just wanted a quality product from a large company.. instead I got an expensive couch that is poorly made and a company that doesn't communicate between sales to customer service to tech to delivery personnel. What a mess it is to deal with this company, I just wouldn't recommend the headache.
Unimpressive once we swiped our card. The sales portion was great but once the purchase was done the experience went down. The delivery was messed up, the customer service was lacking, and once we got a service personnel out to look at the couch that was falling apart after 3 months, he was condescending and didn't actual hear what I was saying. I wouldn't buy from this company again, not with furniture stores on ever corner.
Jessica reordered the cushions and I picked them up yesterday, put them on tonight and the cuddler is the wrong way.
Do not purchase from AmerSign. We purchased a sectional with the extended warranty. Within 3 years had issues with "bonded leather", cracking and peeling. Before this 3 year normal warranty, the piece that we called about was replaced. However, We were sold the extended warranty and told it would cover all issue for addional time frame extending to 7 years. Well at around year 4, 4 pieces of this sectional all started to crack and peel at pretty much the same time. AmerSign, would not cover, since regular warranty was up, so they sent us to the extended warranty. Nope they won't cover either!!! What!!??? AmerSign, You sold us this warranty! So we called AmerSign again. They apologize telling us they've given us a credit of $190.......Why??? Why not replace your product as you sold us the warranty, for pretty much $190......basically AmerSign found out that their product "bonded leather" after about 3 years, cracks and peels, so instead of replacing probably thousands of damaged, poor quality pieces of furniture, they are going to try and just issue a credit for the actual warranty to put a bandaid on it. Funny the one piece of the sectional they actually replaced within the 3 years, is the only piece not peeling and cracking. Do not buy from this company, they do not have quality nor do they stand by it, they 100% should have replaced our entire sectional, but we've been battling for weeks and they want to force this credit down our throats, basically admitting that they found out they had a huge problem, a problem that should be a class action law suit, if more would step up and share their experience and problems. Don't buy from American Sign.
UPDATE: the cushion covers were ordered incorrectly, I received no update on the status until I called the store to ask. Picked them up from the store and they ordered the wrong number and style. Jessica was rude until she realized she did in fact order Not what I owned.
This place can't get it right. How hard is it? It's a retail job. I'm sorry but this is awful!
