THE WORST moving experience! Concerned for our safety and theft!
1. Arrive with moving truck 2/3rd full of other people’s things. Took 9 hours to load 4-bedroom house with already packed boxes because they couldn’t get everything to fit in the truck.
3. Applied packing tape directly onto furniture when wrapping with furniture pads, ruining wooden furniture.
Terrible moving experience and looking at the reviews I'm not the only one. They kept my stuff because I wouldn't sign the receipt that charged me more than a $100 over the price that they quoted me. My 2 children almost had to sleep on the floor and as a single mother that was a horrible thought. Do yourself a favor and choose a company with better customer service. The "operations manager" Patrick at the Fort Myers office was extremely condescending and used my personal property as leverage. He threatened to keep my stuff over and over again. In the end I got my stuff back AND a refund. I definitely feel unsafe knowing that they have my address.
6. Day laborers, local, inexperienced, dressed in visibly soiled, baggy clothing, with no socks and slippers. Concerned for our safety and theft.
overall was a good experience. I was super nervous moving since it is such long distance. Guys were on time picking up, stuff came the day they said it would (although was supposed to arrive in the morning but ended up being afternoon - but not a big deal, traffic happens and to be expected on such a long move); they were really communicative to let me know they would be a little late. No surprises when it came time to pay the bill, everyone I dealt with was professional, and nothing arrived damaged or missing! Would use them again and I highly recommend.
8. Rude, unprofessional, vulgar, employee asking for payment upfront before delivery and demanding to sign all paperwork prior to work being completed.
7. Heavy boxes stacked on top of fragile labeled boxes. Custom bench fabric ripped from poor handling, dark wood dining room table multiple scratches from careless handling. Furniture dis-assembled forcefully damaging structure. Beds not put back together resulting in potential injury.
We interviewed 3 moving companies for our local move. All Our Sons was the only company that sent out a person for a FREE estimate. The gentleman showed up on time for the estimate, spent a lot of time walking through the house before giving the estimate. The estimate was well detailed, in writing and given with a verbal explanation of how it was arrived at. The movers arrived at the time promised. They were both courteous and worked at a reasonable pace in spite of the extreme heat that day. They carefully wrapped our furniture and placed everything where we requested upon arrival at our new home. We would definitely use this company again.
5. Delivery day, no notification of arrival time, had to call multiple times to find out they are waiting on “day-laborers” to help them unload the truck. Arrived 2:30pm to unload truck.
4. Ripped mattress bags, not replaced on request, dragged through dirty moving truck and floor, 1yr old, clean mattress delivered dirty.
2. Wanted to load mattress and electronic indoor spinning bike onto open air extension of the truck with ripped mattress bag for a move that required 5hours of driving, overnight stay and next day delivery in Florida.
This storage is impossible to work with. We are disabled and living in a shelter. We fell behind on our payments and they will not let us get important documents needed to get a home. They are also threatening to auction off all of our belongings. If they would let us in they would get all of their money. We come from a military family and the army is offering us housing and money to get everything out and give us a house for us. But without documents we cannot do anything and are stuck at a homeless sheliter that is not safe and verbally abuse the disabled. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORAGE IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!!!
