Just drove off the lot at O'Brien with a Sonata that I am greatly looking forward to driving! My sales rep, Michael, was very detail oriented and was happy to answer every question I had--and he took the time to look things up. Blenn went through the paperwork very thoroughly and I am very satisfied with my transaction. This is saying a great deal, because I made a switch from another brand to whom I have been loyal for 30 years. I'm hoping the "honeymoon" with O'Brien Hyundai is a nice long one!
Giving this place a 4 Star.! Sales are for sure top notch and a 5 Star rating.! But the service department has no Personality and out right rude.! This was the first time I personally came in with wife to get scheduled oil change, she usually comes. Have a scheduled appointment and told me I have to sit for 2-3 hours before my car is even started.! VERY DISSAPPOINTED.! Why have an appointment if you can not be reasonable in the time.! I understand if your backed up and I gotta wait alittle be 2-3 hours is very unacceptable in my book.!
We have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership. We have never encountered any problems with service representatives until our last visit. I was told that a previous issue we had fixed at this dealership was in fact not repaired @ this location. Well it was but the service rep barely acknowledged my issue, didn't make eye contact, and was too busy typing in his computer in an effort to dispute my concern. Then I was given a live tutorial in the mechanics shop. This was very dangerous and as he walks in front of a car that was being lowered I was left to negotiate my way around to the backside of the car only to meet him 30 to 40 feet away at my car. Once I was given the tutorial on how to properly do or solve this issue, I looked inside the car to find the paperwork stating the issue was resolved at this location. After returning to the waiting area, I was called to the desk with the discussion on the in cabin air filter which the Service representative claimed was from inside my car. I had just been inside my car and saw no indication that they had removed the air filter. It is a very complex process in which the glove compartment latch is opened and drop down to a lower location and the in cabin air filter is located behind that. There was no indication that they had even opened the glove compartment. I have always change this myself. I feel it's not necessary to pay $50 for Hyundai to do it, when I can do it for less than $10. After waiting almost 2 hours for a oil change tire rotation and recall repair, we were then given our paperwork to leave. I just find it interesting now that after three weeks I have not received the courtesy email reading my experience. I think they decided not to send me one because they knew that it would not be a positive review.
