Have a hard time even giving them one. Our AC taken out by lightning the insurance company (upc) gave us a response to repair the AC. Our AC company said no that wasn't the way to go as r22 is all but phased out. Now let me start this part by saying this happened July in FL (it's insanely hot). So I called Culbertson to get some help from an agent. After talking to Ruth she said she would look into it. We waited 10+ days to get a response from them and no return calls when we called to check on status. When we got a response it was already what I had told her at the beginning and all she did was patch me through to the insurance company! She did absolutely nothing I the 10+ days. So I handled it myself have no clue what they do except get you a policy. I asked to speak with Brian or a manager because of their handling of our claim. I got a message from (?) Stating the original issue about my AC never once a call about how we were treated and their lackluster customer service or lack of help.
Always very accommodating and professional. Very knowledgeable. Willing to help a client find the "best" price and/or options available.
I was not with the company for long before the problems began to occur. It all started with in the first 3 months of being with them. After receiving my quote and agreeing with it I joined, within the first 2 months my payment went up by $100. I called immediately and tried to get some answers and they said "we had to raise your price along with everyone's" I then asked what about our agreement for 6 months and they replied that they were not in control of the pricing. I asked if there was anything that could be done about my monthly payment aside from finding a new company, and they said that was my only option. So I left and went to geico who have been wonderful and saved me money in the process. Now on to my motorcycle which has disgusted me beyond belief I was originally quoted a price of 36 a month then after I cancelled my auto insurance my motorcycle insurance went up to 50 a month. I promptly called and asked what happened they said "they no longer have my info from my previous insurance provider" so it went up. I called and provided my previous info and Ruth told me she would take care of it. I paid my bill and was told they would compensate me for the additional amount paid my bill came this month and it's back to 50 and Ruth told me she has never talked to me before. I'm currently seeking a new provider so I can rid my self of this awful company.
Very deceptive. I would have given them zero stars but such was not possible. Received a mailing with my address listed and the coverages for dwelling and personal property which were in line with what I have now. Called for quote and it ended 3 times what was stated and not even competetively close to what I already had. Asked if they could quote auto and I said fine. Again their quote was totally out of line. Not reputable at all. Get quotes elsewhere before even considering doing business with these people.Also the solicitation leads one to believe that they are an independent agency and represent multiple insurance companies to get one the best rate. FALSE. They are an Allstate agency so all that they sell is Allstate.
Have 2 policies with them. Tried to get another house insured but they're just too busy to call me back. Guess I'll have to find another insurance agency that is not as busy.
