I never write reviews but Dr. Savage, his assistant Bruce and office staff have been more than wonderful. I had cervical surgery with Dr Savage on 2/27/2017 and I was nothing but nervous because I'm only 39 but after speaking to Dr Savage and going thru all my options - surgery was needed . He's professional and is straight forward with you. The surgery went well and I'm still following up. He listens to my concerns and answers without hesistation and is extremely knowledgeable . The entire team is so easy to talk to, love what they do and is there to help you in any way they can. Also the hospital staff at Gulf Coast were alllll the best. I'm proud to say that Dr. Savage is my Dr and will be taking care of my well being moving forward . If I lived on the other coast I would drive to Fort Myers just to have him as my doctor. Anyone looking for an amazing Dr. please see him you won't be disappointed! You will be highly impressed and WELL taken care of.
I must say that I'm not at all impressed with Dr Savage. I'm sure his surgical skills are outstanding...but my post operative visits have been nothing but a disappointment...a total waste of time and money. Every time I've been back he makes it very clear to me that he did his job and is inconvenienced by my presence. My last visit to his office started out with "I'm not quite sure what you're doing here...but I know that it can't be a social visit" and ended with "have fun riding your bike".
I had surgery in July 2017 and have never been treated any better anywhere. Dr Savage and staff have been great. Its a long process but I am still hopeful of a positive outcome.
