If Linda Fried's majority client base, colleagues, judges, court psychologists and staff were asked, the reviews would show that Mrs. Fried has an amazing respect and reputation for being THE finest attorney in Fort Myers in Family Law. She is not only a brilliant attorney but a wonderful human being and I will be truly grateful to have her on my team. I agree that in the past there was one office member that was sub-par but that has long been remedied and her staff is professional and responsive and I have always had a great experience. If you want an attorney that will be incredibly committed to you and your outcome, hire Linda - before your opponent does!
A Family member used Linda for a a troubling Divorce interviewed other lawyers but picked linda. Turns out she was a great choice and worth every penny paid. Most divorces never go to trail this one did as a retired NYPD Detective i observed Linda rip apart the other party on the stand. In my opinion I believe Linda conducted one of the best cross-examinations i have ever observed in over 20 years a Detective and the judge agreed in the final judgement can't ask for more than that. As for the staff at Fried & Fried they were always very professional.
Needless to say this was a very disappointing experience overall.
Terrible in every aspect! The very worst in keeping their clients informed, even worse at meeting deadlines, ridiculous charges for even a one minute phone call, walking in the office or "reviewing" unnecessary "documents", and not one bit of customer service experience in that entire office. If you want a good lawyer, look elsewhere, unless you like flushing money down the toilet on useless lawyers and paralegals
I was told false information at the beginning so I would hire them. Then I was charged for them having to reschedule court dates. Due to the fact they had other appointments. I know I could have gotten equal or better results with a cheaper lawyer.
Another week later I decided to reach out to the office again. This time not giving any in depth information other than that I couldn't afford my previous attorney anymore. Even with that simple information they refused to set anything up with Linda, but they did set up an appointment with Devin. Devin was extremely down to earth and understanding. He said he would be willing to work out a payment arrangement if allowed and I felt like we had a productive meeting. He honestly gave me renewed hope. I let him know I'd be in touch, since he requested to know as soon as possible to get started. When I phoned the office the next day to speak with him a different receptionist acted as another gatekeeper. She didn't do anything, but press for why I was phoning him: she wouldn't leave him a simple call back message. When I mentioned a payment plan arrangement she went full on prevention mode. She stated she would call me back after speaking with others. Well, she called back and let me know they would not accept the kind of payment plan I was needing. She then referred me to Legal Aid, which I informed her they had denied my case. She didn't believe me, so I told her they have actually denied me two separate times now. She then said good luck and hung up on me.
I phoned Linda Fried's office in order to set up a consultation based off of a referral from a professional who I highly respect. The receptionist acted as a major gatekeeper. I told them a little of my situation and why they were referred to me. The receptionist wouldn't set anything up, since she was made aware of my financial situation as part of the referral information. She stated they didn't accept any type of payment plans. (This was the reason the professional referred them: Because they were known to them to work with clients on financials.) I then sent an email to Linda Fried, utilizing the EMAIL ME function on her website. Linda never contacted me back.
As with any practice, small business or company, there will always be the smallest percentage of unsatisfied customers and unfortunately they tend to be the loudest. I have no experience of the negative reviewers nor their experience, only my personal one. I found Mrs. Linda Fried on the SuperLawyers website years ago to which she has been referenced and acknowledged for countless years in the past. By the time I met with Mrs. Fried I had been through three other attorneys that were supposed to be "Super" whom did nothing but take alot of my money, show disinterest in my case, and proceeded to make a mess of my case. And I was up against a spouse whom was a cunning, masterful sociopath with deep pockets. Linda had the compassion and empathy to take my case and immerse herself in the facts and evidence and brilliantly turn it around. You would be hard pressed to find an attorney like Linda whom will actually care for you and your children and handle your case with integrity, compassion and passion and her brilliant knowledge of the law makes her a true fighter in your corner whom so many of us need in family law matters.
