It's a cheap place, not much to look at. Seeing the very limited animals was sort of cool. The place could really use some upgrading. It's good for little kids, not really older ones, a lot of hands on. I suggest using a lot of sanitizer! Some of the kids were really rude, the workers were nice but there wasn't really many of them. I wouldn't go there again even if they paid me. I was really disappointed.
This is a fantastic place for children and families. It has wild animals, an aquarium, a playing area. It is a place that opens up the mind of children. There is also a gift shop. The entry fee is 12.00 per adult and 8.00 per children over three. Oh there is a theater and it does show movies for children.
Visited on Saturday 9/30. Took my 7 yr old daughter and had a great time. Spent about an hour and a half. Needs minor repair and some touch up paint, so what! 3D movie, virtual reality machines, reptiles, great fish tanks and plenty of cool, hands on, educational exhibits. Great time for a kid with an inquiring mind and an engaged parent.
We had a nice time. Small, but informational and entertaining for children. Nice place to spend a couple of hours. We got to feed the stingrays and youth some animals. My son was happy. And the staff is great. Sonia is awesome!
We had a great day here! My 7,4, and 2 year old loved all the animals and sea life. The staff were all pleasant and good with the kids. I'm surprised at the reviews saying it was run down. I found the museum well kept and clean. If you're expecting a science museum in a large city you will be disappointed but I thought it was great for a small city. My kids learned a lot about Florida wildlife. They also are a part of the Blue Star Family museum summer program and as a military family we are always grateful for museums who participate in this program.
